Description
β2-MG Fast Test Kit (Immunofluorescence Assay)
The β2-MG Fast Test Kit is a rapid immunofluorescence assay used for the quantitative detection of beta 2-microglobulin (β2-MG) in serum, plasma, or whole blood. It aids in the evaluation of kidney function, glomerular filtration, and is valuable in monitoring renal transplantation and related diseases.
Key Advantages
- Fast Testing: Delivers results in just 3 minutes
- Renal Function Assessment: Useful for tracking glomerular filtration rate
- Multi-Sample Compatibility: Works with serum, plasma, or whole blood
- Broad Clinical Utility: Supports monitoring of kidney injury, transplant rejection, and malignancies
- Stable Storage: 4–30°C, 24-month shelf life
About β2-Microglobulin
β2-MG is a low-molecular-weight protein found on the surface of nearly all nucleated cells. It is filtered by the glomerulus and reabsorbed by the proximal tubules. Elevated β2-MG levels in blood or urine are indicative of impaired renal function, transplant complications, or hematological malignancies such as multiple myeloma.
