Description
Getein mAlb Fast Test Kit (Immunofluorescence Assay)
The Getein mAlb Fast Test Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of microalbuminuria (mAlb) in human urine samples. Elevated mAlb levels, below the proteinuric level, are recognized as markers of kidney disease and increased cardiovascular risk, particularly in diabetic nephropathy.
Intended Use
This kit is intended for in vitro quantitative determination of mAlb in human urine. It serves as an aid in detecting early renal damage and evaluating cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetic nephropathy and hypertensive nephropathy.
About mAlb
Albumin, a major plasma protein, is typically present in very low concentrations in urine due to its large size preventing it from crossing the glomerular basement membrane. Damage to this membrane increases its permeability, leading to higher urinary albumin concentrations known as microalbuminuria (mAlb).
